Chania and west Crete boast few of the best beaches in the world. The key is to depart early, to avoid the traffic, heat and tourists! The king of beaches is Elafonissi, followed by Balos and Falassarna. There are many small, less known beaches but demand more driving time. Whichever you choose, you will not be dissapointed. Our trips are not just driving to a destination, but we will make stops enjoying sites and non-stop talking about Cretan culture, history and traditions!

Chania has more than 10 peaks above 2000m, numerous gorges and hikes. There are 7 different climate zones, from Alpine dessert to arid coastal zones. The highlight is Samaria gorge, a Unesco site but also a demanding hike. The 5 hours hiking is a trip in the heart of the earth. Other hikes are Imbros and Agia Irini gorge. There are options for climbing peaks, but these are more demanding and need more days. Perhaps the best peak is Gingilos. There are smaller gorges and hikes, along the south coast. Just ask us!
