Description
Falarsana Beach is regarded one of the top destinations in Crete. Its ecosystem is protected by NATURA 2000 and its beautiful landscape makes it a unique destination for every guest to visit.
It is located on the western coast of Chania, comprising a breathtaking landscape consisted of olive trees, gardens and greenhouses followed by its lengthy beach reaching more than 3km, making it comfortable and spacious for somebody to enjoy. It is organized with umbrellas and sunbeds and plenty of cafes and restaurants as well. We will stay for 3 hours and have lunch afterwards.
An additional option is to visit the Ancient Falarsana. The ancient city was founded in 7thBC and it was considered a strong city state naval power. After a strong earthquake and tsunami the city was destroyed. You can see the ancient port on the mainland.
Optionally we could add a wine tasting tour.
Itinerary
- Pick up and drop off from Souda port, your hotel/accommodation in the greater Chania area or any other nearby convenient location
- Drive to Falarsana, west of Chania, 1,5 hour drive
- Stay on Falarsana Beach for 3 hours
- Lunch for 1 hour
- Drive back to Chania
- Optional visit to Ancient Falarasana or a Winery for a Tasting Tour
