This was a great hike and George was an excellent guide. He not only is an experienced hiker who knows what to look for and how to assess the people he guides, but he also has an outstanding knowledge of the history of Crete.

George is more than just a tour guide. He is the best kind of ambassador for his island. He is warm and engaging, highly intelligent, and brings the culture and history of Crete to vivid fascinating life. His car is super comfy, the little stops along the way there and back all very interesting and provide little snapshots of Cretan life in the villages and mountains. The beach was stunning beyond words! Returning, a stop at a taverna outdoors with gorgeous views of the surrounding country a highlight.

Peter picked us up on time and took us promptly to Elafonisi beach. He was a great guide and very knowledgeable. Would highly
recommend his tours.

We had a wonderful day with George. Elafonisi is beautiful but can be very crowded. George was able to get us to the beach before the crowds so we were able to get a prime waterside spot for our day. George gave us so much information about the area, culture and history. He was also very flexible when we decided to go to Chania for a quick look. Thank you George for a wonderful day! We hope to be back!

We highly recommend George to anyone looking to explore Crete. Not only did he put together a custom tour for us (hiking Imbros Gorge, wine tasting, visit to Kournas Lake, with a one way trip from Chania to Heraklio), but he was extremely responsive and helpful along the way. He’s very knowledgeable about the area, and it was great spending the day with him. He even suggested some delicious restaurants for us to visit while in Chania before our tour with him. He went above and beyond!

We had a fantastic tour of the Samaria Gorge with George! He is extremely experienced and well prepared. He set up a plan to meet our family’s schedule and everything went very smoothly. We enjoyed all of our discussions with George, who is very knowledgeable about the Gorge, Crete, and Greece. Most of all, he is kind and fun to be around! We recommend George to any group without hesitation.

WE LUCKED OUT! George was the perfect guide for our adventure to Samaria Gorge. My family and I highly recommend him. Regarding admin, George was prompt in responding to our booking and with all follow up communications. He ensured we were properly prepared for our hike. He was on time to pick us up plus a very safe driver with a comfortable car. Regarding the hike, George narrated all we saw, stopped at ideal intervals/locations, and took lots of family photos for us. Wonderful experience! Thx, George!

This hike through the gorge was a delightful excursion we thoroughly enjoyed. Having an experienced guide helped a lot to not miss key views and not getting injured. Highly recommended!

Thoroughly enjoyable trip. Saw a side of Crete that I otherwise would not have seen. This trip enabled us to see the agricultural background of the country, which was of great interest to me and my wife. Also, got to eat some authentic Cretan food, which was wonderful. Trip was the right length. George is a very safe driver also, which is a major plus.

George was knowledgeable, friendly and very helpful. The trip is very interesting – long day but that is exactly what we wanted. Will probably do a shorter version in the near future when older relatives come to visit.

George was a fantastic guide with a very extensive knowledge of the subject. He gave us a very interesting insight into the WWII Battle of Crete including lots of lesser known anecdotes. He was very flexible to ensure he included everything we wanted to see and do, and his organisation and planning meant the whole tour ran very smoothly. We very much enjoyed our experience and would highly recommend George’s services to others!

George was a great guide, his knowledge of the battle extensive and interesting. This tour really exceeded my expectations. I rate this tour 5 out of 5 stars. I would certainly recommend this tour with George to anyone interested in the battle.
